Volunteer Northumbria week

Volunteer Northumbria week is coming up and you do not want to miss out! There are so many amazing activities and events to get involved with that you will be spoilt for choice. You can take part in as many or as little as you’d like. The VN Week Launch kicks off on Saturday 22nd February and the excitement and exhilaration continues for a whole week!
So, here are the activities you might like to make note of:
Saturday – VN Launch 10am-12.30pm (including lunch) followed by a street clean up in Heaton.
Sunday – Beach clean-up at Tynemouth meeting at the SU for 10:30am.
Monday – good deed photo session 11am-1pm
Tuesday – Animal shelter visit all day & Random Acts Of Kindness
Wednesday – IT classes for the elderly 1pm-3pm & Pond Clean up at Leazes Park 10am-3pm
Thursday – Animal Shelter all day & Photo session
Friday – Mural in Eldon Square, Trinity Square & Central station 11am-2pm
Saturday – Knitting
There are also events on an evening which include:
A social starting in Habita on Saturday
Open mic night in Reds on Sunday
Let your hair down on monday
A RAG Race night in Reds on Tuesday
Karaoke in Habita on Thursday
Film night on Friday
Games night on Saturday
Awards on Sunday
These are all the activities YOU could get involved in. If you want to make friends, have fun and give something back to the community, then this is the perfect opportunity!
